This piece depicts one’s love for self, though it has been viewed as maternal love.The piece depicts the subject as a curious little girl who has grown into the woman standing confidently in the light. As a child who grew up surrounded by beautiful plants, the adult subject now reflects on how her experiences have allowed her to see the beauty not only surrounding her but also the beauty coming from within. Loving her sun-kissed skin and the radiance of her mind, bask in this queen’s evolving glory.
 
About the Artist
Adoria L. Maxberry is a visual artist, licensed educator, wife and mother of three, based in Cincinnati, Ohio. As an educator and civic leader, she facilitates unique and meaningful experiences focusing on creativity, exploration and reflection.

Her company, Most OutGROWing LLC, is dedicated to helping others grow spiritually, mentally and creatively through art.

Adoria earned a Master of Visual Arts Education and Licensure from the University of Cincinnati College of Design, Architecture, Art and Planning (DAAP) and a Bachelor of Arts from Xavier University. She serves as an art teacher at Woodford Academy and ultimately seeks to bring God glory.
