About the Art
Deeper Than Condition- Took a pic of my best friends doing each other hair a few years ago and I have wanted to paint this picture ever since. Sisterhood has always been so important to me since I didn’t grow up with one. Now that I have so many sisters in my life, I wanted to reflect on the importance of bonding through beauty. As Black women we have helped each other with our hair since the beginning of our being. This is a symbol of companionship and love that will continue for a lifetime
